German Strategy and Generals
Strengths
1. AT Mech: Arguably the strongest Anti Tank Mech regiment in the game. The Jagdpanther and it's 88mm Gun inflict a punishing 100 attack value when fully upgraded, making it the best Tank Destroyer in the game hands down. Good available upgrades, only missing Mechanical Reliability, but Germany also has a couple of unique upgrades, Advanced Armor Training and Schurzen which help make up for this. Decent halftracks that possess the important Improved Machine Guns upgrade. The challenge with Germany is surviving the infantry stage of the game, and deploying enough of them with their weak economy. Played correctly, Germany can be a dominate force during the Mech Stage of the game.
2. Armor: Whether Heavy Tank, King Tiger Tank, or the underrated German Arty Tank, Germany has some of the finest armor in the game. The challenge with Germany is to get to the armor stage of the game, due to their weak economy.

Great Britian Strategy and Generals
Strengths
1. SaS: They are the strongest infantry against all infantry and the second strongest infantry against mechs. Along with having 2 sniper units in their squad, SAS has a 2 defense, which differs from the typical 1 defense of most infantry. Their armor can even be upgraded to 3 defense with Special Forces for even more durability. This upgrade is a must have when going against mechs.
2. Economy: British HQ's cost less than those of any other country, which allows players to produce more buildings in less time, and in turn helps to bolster their economy.
3. Airpower: Second best airpower in the game, only missing the Napalm upgrade available exclusively to the USA.
"The U.S. has broken the second rule of war. That is, don't go fighting with your land army on the mainland of Asia. Rule One is don't march on Moscow. I developed these two rules myself."General Montgomery - regarding US approach to the Vietnam War For more see: Generals of Great Britian |

Japan Strategy and Generals
Strengths
1. Infantry: Japan has many options when it comes to infantry, and also has the right upgrades for an infantry based build, most notably, Special Forces. Mortars, Heavy Airborne, and Commandos are all viable options when it comes to Japan.
2. Economy: Japan is the only country to earn +30 from every type of HQ (after Military Surplus upgrade), which leads to a strong late-game economy.
3. Airborne: Japanese Heavy Airborne costs less than any other country, $75/$150 instead of $100/$200[ground deployed/air dropped]
4. Arty Tanks: The Japanese Arty Tank regiment is the only one in the game to feature medium tanks as support vehicles, all others only have light tanks.
"My attack on Singapore was a bluff, a bluff that worked... I was very frightened that all the time the British would discover our numerical weakness and lack of supplies and force me into disastrous street fighting."General Yamashita For more see: Generals of Japan |

Ukraine
Ukraine
AXIS and ALLIES Random Map
The rolling plains of the Ukraine invited invasion by providing no clear lines of defense. Because Ukraine was famed for its agricultural productivity, possession of it meant food not just for soldiers, but also the home front. Situated between Russia and Germany, the Ukraine would be a battleground for the two nations.

Russia Strategy and Generals
Strengths
1. Snipers: Snipers can take out enemy infantry faster than any other type of infantry. Not worth making snipers unless you deploy at least 8 or more regiments, as the sniper units of these regiments can easily kill an entire enemy regiment very quickly (since most regiments have 8 or less units). Keep your snipers in trees and cities to help avoid being "bombed".
2. Armor: Whether Heavy Tank or Arty Tank, Russia has some of the finest armor in the game. Russian armor has a higher health than the other countries, and in most cases a higher defense value as well, which can be seen in the following unit comparisons: [ ARTY TANKS] [ LIGHT TANKS] [ MEDIUM TANKS] [ HEAVY TANKS] [ COMMAND TANKS]
"This war is not an ordinary war. It is the war of the entire Russian people. Not only to eliminate the danger hanging over our heads, but to aid all people groaning under the yoke of Fascism."Josef Stalin 1941 For more see: Generals of Russia |

Noob Tip: How to Hotkey a Group of Regiments
Commanding a dozen regiments during the heat of battle can be a daunting task. To make it easier, you can select and group up to six regiments at the same time and give them orders simultaneously. To select and group multiple regiments, click on an open area, hold down the left mouse button and drag a box around all of the regiments you wish to include. You can also manually add or remove regiments by holding down [Shift] or [Ctrl] and clicking on a regiment.
Once you have selected a group, you can save it by holding down [Ctrl] and pressing any of the keyboard number keys. This assigns all of the regiments in that group to that number key, allowing you to reselect that group by pressing that number key. When you assign a group to a number key in this way, that group appears in the unit bar at the top of the screen. Note: You can add groups to the unit bar directly by right-clicking in an empty square, and can select them by clicking on their portraits in the bar. If you like, you can also assign individual regiments and buildings to hotkeys and the unit bar in the same way. (Source: Axis and Allies RTS Official Manual)

List of All Special Ops
Special Ops - Axis & Allies RTS
Special Ops are part of the most specific and focused strategies that exhist within A&A. Experienced players will alter their strategies to take advantage of their special ops. For example, the special ops of Konev are all well suited for the infantry stage of the game, so a player using Konev may be tempted to go for an infantry rush early.
The special ops available to any given general are located on the Special Operations bar, and can be used as long as they are not "grayed out".. It is up to you to know when and how to use them for greatest effect. In most cases that means saving your EXP for your most powerful special ops, and only using your lesser special ops in game changing or emergency situations.
Taking time to learn the strongest special ops of all the generals will help you quickly size up the strengths, and possible strategies, of not only your opponents; but your allies as well. See Counting Bombs for more info.
Special Ops Directory - Axis & Allies RTS
We have addressed the usage of each Special Op by General, in our Generals of Axis and Allies section. What follows below is a directory of the special ops and which generals have them, click on the General for our take on all the special ops. Also Included:

United States Strategy and Generals
Strengths1. Economy: When it comes to the strengths of the United States, first and foremost it is their economy, which will offer benefits for the entire game. Common for players to " eco whore" during the infantry stage of the game, spamming alot of infantry hq's to bolster their economy (stay away from airborne hq's as they don't generate as much money for USA).
2. AT Mech: One of the strongest Anti Tank Mech regiments in the game. Mechanized Production, Mechanical Reliability, and the special ops of Eisenhower and Patton make them that much stronger.
3. Arty Tanks: USA also has one of the strongest Arty Tank regiments. Use your superior economy to produce more units in less time, and back those arties with the best airpower in the game for a truly devastating offensive push.
4. Airpower: Best airpower in the game. Napalm very effective against enemy structures as buildings have no resistance to fire damage. Although the exact damage inflicted by napalm isnt very well documented, we have seen it add up to +70% to total damage. "When I want my men to remember something important, to really make it stick, I give it to them double dirty. It may not sound nice to some bunch of little old ladies at an afternoon tea party, but it helps my soldiers to remember. You can't run an army without profanity; and it has to be eloquent profanity. An army without profanity couldn't fight its way out of a piss-soaked paper bag. ... As for the types of comments I make, sometimes I just, By God, get carried away with my own eloquence. "General Patton For more see: Generals of USA |

Mitsubishi A6M Zero
Mitsubishi A6M Zero
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero ("A" for fighter, 6th model, "M" for Mitsubishi) was a lightweight, carrier-based fighter aircraft employed by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service from 1940 to 1945. Its history mirrored the fortunes of Imperial Japan in World War II. At the time it was introduced, the Mitsubishi A6M was the best carrier-based fighter plane in the world and was greatly feared by Allied pilots. Tactics were developed by 1942 by Allied forces to engage the Zero on equal terms. By 1943, American and British manufacturers were producing fighters with greater firepower, armor, and speed and approaching the Zero's maneuverability. By 1944, the Mitsubishi A6M was outdated but remained in production. In shifting priorities during the final years of the War in the Pacific, the Zero was utilized in kamikaze operations.
