The M1 Garand rifle is pretty steep price wise. To get one, you must pay $1000-1600 dollars.

And I'm not sure why its so expensive. Mosins and Mausers are nothing compared to the M1's pricetag. Plus, you can get a newer AR for that price. The M1 uses a 30.06 bullet, but its only marginally bigger than the mosin 7.62. So, its not because of firepower.

The only thing I can figure is that there were not many m1's made and that many like collecting it over the masuer or mosin .

Yea the M1 is not really popular and its rare and expensive to buy one. Like you said the Mausers and Mosin are cheaper.
