V-2 is a ballistic missile that was developed at the beginning of the Second World War in Germany, specifically targeted at London and later Antwerp. The liquid-propellant rocket was the world's first long-range combat-ballistic missile and first known human artifact to enter outer space. It was the progenitor of all modern rockets, including those used by the United States and Soviet Union's space programs. During the aftermath of World War II the American, Soviet and British governments all gained access to the V-2's technical designs and the actual German scientists responsible for creating the rockets, via Operation Paperclip, Operation Osoaviakhim and Operation Backfire.

I hope we can put this in our game as US has the Nuke
Germany can have the V2-V3 rocket.

LOL I don't like the V-1 its too slow and plus sucks for lag. It all depends on luck whether you hit your target or miss it.

Yeah you have to place it a few seconds ahead of the target, but sometimes the turn away just before it turns and that drives me crazy!

Its like an IBM but slower than the modern ones. I think they could develop it from the V-1 probably.

Deff just have to take that rocket and put it on the bottom and bring the wings down to the base and there you have a V2.

I'll look into making a V2 special op. obviosly there won't be any special projectile animations-- since if this rocket is hitting the ground at Mach 4 it's not like you'd see it anyways! and removing the delay effect would be nice.

given the high speed of impact, I figure the attack value profile should be similar to the Kamikaze attack: 500 points of armor piercing damage with a 1,000 points of explosive damage towards buildings.

the V2 cost quite a bit more than the V1-- but it was also virtually impossible to develop counter-measure apart from capturing the launc sites.

the V1 model can't really be modified-- as it's all in one big piece. better to ignore the projectile animation and have it strike without warning.

Dan was hoping the rocket will be separate from the V1 body, but that's awesome too as long as mods come out for this game there is no end for the hours of fun play.
