Mitsubishi G4M

This Japanese airplane was named by the Allied forces as “Betty”. Its main success was to sink the main British naval force in Asia, the “Prince of Wales” and the “Repulse”. But also the Mitsubishi G4M was famous because in one of them Yamamoto, probably the most important Japanese strategist died after the attack from American Lockheed P-38 Lightning.

Yes yes, but outdatted by US forces later in the war

This lacked protection for its crew, the Japanese relied mainly on speed and aluminum to give its shape of thin armor.
