Axis and Allies losing players?

Has the horrible technical support by Gamespy and Atari caused Axis and allies to lose players? I have noticed that game amounts have greatly diminished since I first started playing. One plus has been that lots of new players are joining, which is a good sign. It has been very interesting predicament. I first bought A&A in April 2009, and currently I have been very pleased with the game and the online competition. A few problems that have hit me have been:

*2 months ago, I started the game up and it stated I had no CD key code. When I contacted Atari (very hard to do so), they said I had to buy a new game! I have talked to many players who have had the same problem, and Atari did a horrible job of helping me. Tech support for this game sucks.
*Game can be VERY laggy, and often times a player who is very laggy (bad ping) will cause every player in the room to crash.
*Often times stats don't update, leaving me to wonder, how everyone else is feeling about Axis and Allies and what is in store for the great game in the future.

Any comments?

Start the game, go to Multiplayer, Internet, and create an account. Then you login, and join a game in the lobby.

Hey buccer whats up, yeah ive seen many people go off and never come on, i got itleast 33 added people that dont come on anymore, and were can you go to find a unused cd key for the game? most people on the game wont tell me unused ones... and the robot account online seriously needs to work on the players language, and account name, what is the robot even there for if it dont do anything? and i think there should be a robot(that works) in games to catch language, possibly cheating ive seen before, and the players that lag and crash the games, ive been through many games i have been winning on and some noob crashes it, they should have an kick first start of it,

Yes well It definently has been an interesting decline. I just deleted about 60 inactive accounts yesterday, but I am happy to see that new players are coming online. Thx for post Menolike u an its good to see u are back playin. See you around

To Know about the deline, most people play Star Craft now, so it really has nothing to do with atari. I Also haven't played in a long time because of how boring it is and how many old school people never come to A&A. Really, you might as well advertise the game to people because as today, more people are in to Supreme Commander and FPS games. (First Person Shooter). I have started getting back on, but now all you find are retards saying WTF! YOU MADE US LOOSE THE GAME!!!!. So people now adays get exagerated over 1 game. Another thing is, this game is hard for noobs. If you didnt play this game in the old times, you dont gain much exp from pros, or no one is willing to help you out and so, the noobs play less and then leave. If u want A&A to get soe new people, then train noobs. Very Happy

Also forgot to add in Im ForgedAlliance in the game. A General. And ya train noobs add me on A&A if you would love to get the game maybe back up and running. I got a youtue account and some video stuff so i can film some games and put them on Youtube.

Thanks for the post OwnVictoryHour. I did know that games such as COD were getting popular, and you are right now a days A&A is full of noobs who cry over one game. Training should start, to make the game popular again! Very Happy

Yes, In the old days since im offically old school now after 2 years of playing,people make a website, put it on axis and allies as a game lock it up say go to www.balallalalalal.com or what ever its called and do it like that. Ussually random people will go to it and find the game, or you can just advertise it on websites like this and say. Hey i know a good game just like this called Axis And Allies Strategy Game, you should get it cause its got epic players > Very Happy

! (just like me (haha)). Ill post a nuke on here for the heck of it and just train noobs, training noobs gets there brothers and maybe sisters to play and teach them so training noobs is your best bet.
