Ladder Application

Applications for the ladder (beta) are now open. You will be the only people able to view the ladder as work continues ironing some things out. Ladder competition will start with 1v1 and 2v2. ok give me a few minutes and I'll give you access. since i don't have the FAQ ready make sure to read the post in the Ladder Members forum for tips on getting started. ATM, you and Cobra are the only ones in there so don't bother challenging the other teams because they are there for testing. I'll have more ladder info coming soon but working on fixing a bunch of little errors and glitches on the site for a bit.

how the system works is a little confusing at first but once you get it down it's pretty easy to use.

team management is handled by the team captain. that includes name and who's on your team. refer to the private forum

ok you should have access to the ladder now. create your team there, then join the 1v1 event.

First read thru the ladder members forum for pointers.

ok you have access now, refer to the ladder members forum for tips on creating a team and joining an event. (I can't create teams....) Once you join the 1v1 event I'll have to reset the rungs before you can challenge anyone... (working on that)

ok i tweaked it a bit, you should be able to challenge right away after you join an event. right now the standings are sorted by rung, and if you beat someone with a higher rung you take their position on the ladder.

I guess this is more of a king of the hill ladder as anyone can take 1st with one win, no matter how bad their record... Smile

Although the true leader is obviously the playa with the most wins and best percentage.

I'll play around more and see what's possible. Eventually you will be able to click on any column and sort by whatever you want, wins, losses, percentage, etc...

to be honest I'm not 100% sure what the rung system will do after a game... we'll see Wink

the public can now view the axis and allies ladder. you still need to apply for access to create and/or join a team by posting here, and keep in mind it's still under construction and will get some tweaking Smile

ok you have access now, checkout the LADDER MEMBERS forum for tips on creating your team, joining an event, challenges, posting wins, and so on.

I switched on public view of the ladder yesterday, but you still need to apply to create teams to keep the smurfies out. Also added a feed for 1v1 ladder winners so you can stay informed of the latest results.

more changes to come, so for the time being it is still "beta", but the matches count, and "early birds" will get a jump on the competition. Smile

you have access to team options and the ladder members area now, but you have to create your own team(s)

refer to the ladder members forum, and read thru the posts to get started since there is no FAQ yet.
