as Japan i recommend a 2 tent commado rush. if ur micro is good enough u will be able to take out some tents before he outproduces u.
as russia u should do a 2 tent sniper rush since the gb can only get 3 sas.
as usa and ger u should just try to get out mechs as fast as u can . (Arty or Anty) But mostly u wont be able to win if the gb is spamming

anyways, all that requires that u have a better micro than your enemy

good analysis GenMaximus, however I sort of disagree with you on the US/Ger vs SAS in a 1v1. in a 500 money game neither US nor especially Ger will have enough time to get mechs out. in a 700-800 money you might be able to do that, but in that case I strongly recommend 2 inf tents than mech tent+motor pool, not even 3 inf tents. with Ger it's still very unlikely to work but with US it gives you chance, especially since you can always spam emergency recons if shit starts hitting the fan. in a 500 game playing as the US, Mortars might be a good enough solution, seeing as you start with the strongest economy(and no need for the eco upgrade since you start with it), if not than proceed with my advise to Ger. with Ger you're pretty much screwed whatever you do, however since you don't wanna just give up I recommend a good old recon rush. the reasoning behind this is simple: your economy won't be able to support enough mortars to counter the SAS, nor will you get mechs out in time, and 3-5 SAS can take out a single and even 2 mechs easily enough. so you're left with a recon rush. the advantage is that the Brit will only have 1 inf tent and than airborne tents, so you can produce more recons than him, and he won't be able to spam recons in response to your rush. that's the only way to really gain an advantage in a Ger vs Brit 1v1, especially true for 500 money but also works with 700-800. however you really need to be fast, and forget about supplies(if you get in the red than so be it, this build is all in anyway). however you really need to be fast, if you waste even just a few moments than you will let the Brit get his 1-2 SAS out, than you'll be in a world of hurt and will most likely lose the game(at least against a competative Brit that is).

still it's very important to keep in mind that a US/Ger vs Brit 1v1 will most likely result in a British victory, no matter what you do. assuming both player are of equal skill level of course.

well said zling.

I think one possible counter that usually gets overlooked is plain old halftracks. I would only try it versus no bombs but both usa and germany have good halftracks and improved machine guns upgrade.

Get enough halftracks to hold, and back them with AT or arty mech...

Yes, your teammates will make fun of you, but it does work in some situations Smile

Your mortars would get wiped out by SAS even if you go mortars. But it is better to go AT mech which is the strongest regiment in the second step of the game.

This regiment is not effective in 2v2, I got rushed by snipers and mortars against my SAS and plus this regiment it takes time to heal and recover. Effective for 3v3 and 4v4

tried this out offline.

this method is actually great with Patton or Eisenhower. used hit-and-run tactics, as well as "divide-and-conquer" to badly maul individual regments. the half-tracks are so fast that it's difficult for them to get wiped out. once you get enough experience points to use a Mechanized Advance you can literally be facing down odds of three-against-one of SAS and sniper regiments and still stop them dead in their tracks with good micro. if you're lucky, you can actually wipe them out wholesale.
