After 60 hours of effort still can't get my addition of A&A to work properly. Apparently patches work correctly based on when and where you bought the game and for some reason NVIDIA graphic cards. Bought it at Comp-USA about 3 or 4 yrs ago; sat on shelf until 2010 when finally started playing. Played single campaign games with no problems until Germans VS Russia in Axis Mode (Easy??). Regardless of dedication and patence can't get any farter. The V1.33 patch comes back with game is not installed. (What..., am playing it!!!) Try again. Axis and Allies Starter Pack V4.2 comes back with (Euro addition - hence COMP-USA or NVIDIA problem). Have you every seen that bad game commercail, i can relate? Never seen a game lock up after restart so fast - CRAP, didn't save again after taking that last objective. Different approach, the log files show the exe statements are not the same - Euro addition. Even after changing these, patch doesn't work. When i bought this game the salesperson said, "It's a great game online". My addition locks-up in the extreme heat of a skirmish < ...BANZAI.....OH god, look at all of them, will we hold >, playing single campaign, and while i am upgrading or building (mostly suppies) as fast as i can; all at the same time. Of course the PC - hates to lose - is god-zillion times faster than me - maybe..... my addition is ok and all i have to do is play a person who only has to deal with me and not all that other stuff the progarm is doing. What is this guy taking about? Before you proud owners of A&A trash your game, why don't we privates try it online. Set up a date and time and go at it. Your game and mind might be alright playing each other, not the PCs AI. Tech Support - Does any of this make any sense to you? Like this game alot, don't want to chuck-it.
