Yes it's true, a curved barrel assault rifle that allows you to fire around corners 
Originally designed for use from armored vehicles, the curved barrel or Krummlauf attachment was produced in 30°, 45°, 60° and 90° models. No evidence it was ever actually used in combat, and if it was, the curved barrel also had a short lifespan of no more than 300 rounds. Some later models had holes in the barrel to release some of the gases (as the bullet makes the turn the barrel was under extreme pressure) and may have had a longer lifespan. Sure wouldnt want this attachment on my rifle under ALOT of combat situations.
