Where are the .rwd files?

All I find is nothing. When I make the search for all files, there is alot of custom maps, but no rwd ones. What am I doing wrong?

Maxx, its not worth making a new post everytime you have a nwe issue. Use the old one please. Helps with spam issues.

you need to use an RWD extractor. I believe this one for kohan works for A&A too. http://kohan.chimaerica.com/dload.php?action=file&file_id=237

Yeah, thanks Rommel. I finally got it to work, but now it wont let me play the game because, "depot not specified" error.

you made changes to the files? If so you probably changed something that requires other changes to work properly. I would move any of the extracted files out and the game should launch.

I deleted the whole program files. But, I uninstalled axis and allies because a mod i tried made it so i couldnt play online, although i could play offline fine. Then I remembered that my install disc is broken and very scratched, so i backed up my computer to before I uninstalled it. However, all the My Documents stuff was gone. So, I think that was it, and not my changing.
Now, since I deleted the program files, it says searching for aa.exe or something similar. Is there a way I can back up my computer to actually have the My Documents A&A folder?

maybe if you created a system restore point that included it.

but, on the other hand, the game has become very cheap. I'd just get another disk in your situation... because there's no guarantee you'll have the original authentication codes handy, is there?

if you have that problem again here's what you do.

the ONLY thing you delete is the fully extracted data folders. the original .RWD files will contain all of the original game files. once you've got a mod that you really like-- the most practical way of playing with it is to create a new A&A folder and place it in your "My Documents" folder. that way all you have to do to switch back and forth from the regular game is to rename one folder accordingly..

sorry to hear you had troubles-- one thing you should NEVER do with the map editor is include quotation marks inside of ANY portion of the document. in the code these qoutation marks are used to name all sorts of things. one misplaced pair of quotation marks will make your map unplayable. you might be able to fix it with a hex-editor though-- but possibly not.

I tried system restore to 3 seperate points, but it didn't work for either. I guess I'll get a new disc. Thanks for the help guys!
