Not a real great sign for the long-term support of Axis and Allies RTS on Gamespy, but noticed Timegate archived Axis and Allies in their forums...

That means no new topics in their A&A threads... Timegate was kind enough to help resolve problems with A&A in the past.. Hopefully we won't get the "no longer supported" reply if any future problems come up..... While I'm grateful Atari has continued to financially support the multiplayer aspect of A&A thru Gamespy, I'm somewhat skeptical it was done entirely out of the goodness of their hearts.. They may have been contractually obligated to fund the server for X number of years (pure speculation). A&A just turned 5 btw.. Last time Gamespy ran the server for about a month and a half after the bill stopped being paid, so keep your fingers crossed in the coming weeks. 
might be a good time to install and test gameranger as a backup.

hopefully this is all merely speculation, but if there is going to be another "last stand" to save A&A it will be organized through this site. If you haven't registered yet, and care about the future of A&A, please do so:
