Rommel

Erwin Rommel, popularly known as the “Desert Fox,” achieved his greatest successes in World War II as a commander of the Afrika Korps in northern Africa. After being forced to retreat by Montgomery’s 8th Army, he backed the plot to assassinate Hitler, and committed suicide after it failed.
