Bombarde or Latin bombus - a late medieval cannon used to hurl large stones. In Axis and Allies RTS, units with the
Bombard ability can attack enemy units and structures from a distance. Usually in reference to
Mortar Infantry Units and/or
Arty Tank Units .
Bombard attacks usually effect the moral of targeted regiments, which can be key in determining who wins and loses any given battle.
