Entrenchment Troops waiting for the enemy don’t just sit around; they choose the best positions, dig foxholes and pile up sandbags. If a regiment is left in one spot for long enough, it becomes entrenched. You can identify an entrenched unit by the sandbags that appear around its banner. Entrenched units gain a various combat bonuses and are therefore adept at holding key defensive positions.
