Axis and Allies General Strategies | Mechanized
This is guide is intended to only briefly highlight the main types of attacks
The mech stage is one of the most crucial stages in Axis in Allies because sometimes games never reach the Tank stage if someone is clearly dominating in the Mech stage.
The units of mechanized regiments vary in strength depending on country, as illustrated in the following unit comparisons
[HALFTRACKS ] [TANK DESTROYERS ] [ARTY HALFTRACKS ] [COMMAND ]
All Countries
Anti-Tank Mechanized (aka AT Mech) Are the staple attack unit of Axis and Allies. They are descent against all types of infantry and artillery tanks. These units are particularly ideal if you are going up against someone with a sniper-country or a bomb-general. Mechs are immune to the 250 bonus sniper damage against infantry and because they have 2 tanks in their squad and they will survive one bomb hit. Germany has the strongest mechs while Japan has the weakest.
Artillery Mechanized (aka Arty Mech) Are ideal against all types of infantry. Like mortar infantry, their primary purpose is to kill a squad's
morale . Their long range and immunity to the
sniper's 250 bonus damage bonus against infantry make them a worthy opponent against
snipers if they engage in long-range combat.
Arty mechs are less effective close range as they have a weak defense. Arty Mechs should never be made when you are playing against a country with a bomb because they will instantly die with one bomb hit. Japan has arty mechs that does the most morale damage. However, Japan has the weakest arty mechs.
